WHAT ARE THE CANDLE STEPS THAT I NEED TO PRACTICE FOR OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE?
Make sure that the candle wick is trimmed before each use. Wooden wicks can be trimmed by hand or by using a wick-trimming tool. Burn for a minimum of two hours, not to exceed four-hour increments. Keep in mind that wooden wicks create a crackling sound when burned similar to a fireplace.

ARE THERE SAFETY MEASURES I SHOULD FOLLOW?
Yes! Always keep a burning candle within sight. Extinguish all candles when leaving a room or before going to sleep. Never burn a candle on or near combustible materials. Keep burning candles away from furniture, drapes, bedding, carpets, books, paper, flammable decorations, etc. Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets. Do not place lit candles where children, pets, or anyone else can knock them over. Always use a candleholder specifically designed for candle use. Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents, and air currents. Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, and debris at all times. Always burn candles in a well-ventilated room. Extinguish the flame if it comes too close to the holder or container. For a margin of safety, discontinue burning a candle when 1/2 inch to 1 inch from the bottom. This will also help prevent possible heat damage to the counter/surface and prevent glass containers from cracking or breaking. Do not touch or move a candle when the wax is liquid. Candles should be placed at least three inches apart from one another. This is to be sure they don't melt one another, or create their own air currents that will cause the candles to burn improperly. One of the safest ways to extinguish a candle is to use a candlesnuffer, which helps prevent hot wax from spattering. Do not extinguish candles with water.

WHAT IF I BURN MY CANDLE TOO LONG OR TRY TO "USE IT UP?"
Burning a candle past the recommended four-hour maximum and beyond 1/2" - 1" from the bottom could create serious safety issues. The National Candle Association warns that a glass jar or container can become too hot causing it to break or shatter and possibly cause a fire as well as other damage. In other words, don't risk it. For a margin of safety, discontinue burning a candle when 1/2 inch to 1 inch remains in the container.

WHY WON'T MY CANDLE STAY LIT?
This can happen if your candle has tunneled and the wick has burned below the surface of the wax. The wax is melting down into the wick faster than the wick can burn and the flame gets extinguished. This can also happen if there is debris in the candle from not trimming the wick prior to every burn session. Solution: If this happens, try using a paper towel or napkin to soak up some of the excess wax and remove the debris. DO NOT DO THIS WHILE THE CANDLE IS LIT.

HOW DO I BURN MY CANDLE IF DON'T WANT TO LIGHT IT?
Candle warmer lamps have gained popularity for their safety features which allow customers to enjoy their candle fragrance, maintain an even burn, and extend the candles life without having to worry about an open flame. For our products we highly recommend candle warmer lamps that warm from the top rather than a warming base which warms from the bottom up.

DO YOU HAVE LOCAL PICKUP OPTIONS?
While this may be a future possibility there is currently no local pickup option available.
HOW CAN I ENSURE MY CANDLE REMAINS IN ITS ORIGINAL FORM?
You should not display your candles for long periods of time in direct sunlight, fluorescent lighting, or other strong illumination. Candles may discolor or fade if they are exposed to extended light for extended periods of time or if stored in warm humid environments. High temperatures (greater than 80 degrees Fahrenheit) will cause candles to soften. Keep your candle in a cool dry area if stored for extended periods of time to prevent melting.

WHAT KIND OF CANDLE WAX & WICKS DO YOU USE?
